Frederick (Rick) Karsten, RPh is the Director for the Georgia Drugs and Narcotics Agency.
Frederick (Rick) Karsten, RPh graduated from ABAC junior college with an Associate in Science degree. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy in 1982. In college Mr. Karsten was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. He served as the director for Worth County Hospital until accepting a position as a Special Agent with the Georgia Drugs and Narcotics Agency in 1987. Mr. Karsten graduated as President of his class with highest academic honors from the Police Academy in June of 1987. Mr. Karsten served as a GDNA Special Agent for 22 years before being appointed by the State of Georgia as the Director for the Georgia Drugs & Narcotics Agency in 2008.
Mr. Karsten serves as a member of numerous law enforcement, pharmacy and other health care associations. He is also appointed as a member of the board of directors for many of these organizations. Mr. Karsten currently resides in Atlanta Georgia.
